Savin Engineers performed the construction inspection on the reconstruction of I-495 to add High Occupancy Vehicle (H.O.V.) lanes. This work took place between exits 57 through 61 in Suffolk County. The work included roadway reconstruction, demolition and replacement of bridges, drainage, subbase, underdrain, curbs, sidewalks, medians, asphalt paving, abutments, piers, steel stringers, concrete, deck, guiderails, medians, and bridge approaches. Work also included erection of noise barriers, roadway lighting, striping, traffic lighting, and signs. During peak construction periods Savin provided up to five (5)inspectors from NICET level IV to level II.
